Design Content
There is no room for error when it comes to business cards. You need the absolute minimum of content: name, company name, logo, position, address, contact details and, if appropriate, social media contact information. Any more than that will make your card look cluttered.
Great Design
Less is more. Simple, elegant designs that make clever use of the space are the order of the day. Remember that on the traditional 85mm x 55mm business card you only have a small amount of space to work. However, make sure you don't reduce the size of your text too much. We recommend that you stay above font size 6.5 depending on the font you're using.
Make it Right
Make sure that the size, shape and finish of your business card falls in line with your company's image. In our experience, more professional and traditional businesses tend to go for uncoated stocks with plain sans-serif text. More creative, perhaps media-based companies can afford to be more experimental: spot UV gloss, matt lamination or gloss lamination.

Card Weight
The UK business card market has a massive range within it. Some cards will be sold as a flimsy 250gsm, whilst some go up to 800gsm. That's basically like engraving a tombstone. With over 10 years of experience behind us, we have settled with an offering of 350gsm and 400gsm business cards. Why? Well, too light and your card gives off an unprofessional feel. Too thick and people won't be able to get it in their wallet and you might just find it ends up in the bin. 350gsm and 400gsm offer excellent value for money and strike the right balance when it comes to stiffness.

For our London customers, we're able to get them to you on the same day assuming we have your print ready artwork by 10.30am. With all this in mind, you can sit back, relax and focus on what is really important.
